Ah, but that's on Argus's sub-brand Mind Games. It's going to be in that poll.

While there are many many Speccy games the company have been involved in releasing, when it comes to the Argus Press Software brand in its own right, we have just eight. There were a lot more put out under its sub brands, like Grandslam, Mind Games, MC Lothlorien and its acquisition Quicksilva.

There was also another label under the Argus umbrella - ASP Software, which mainly released simple strategy and adventure games.

Do Argus Press hold the record for the most brands/labels owned or acquired by an 80's computer games company? I can't think of too many others which released software under so many different names.

I've never heard of Elephant Polo but I'm certainly going to give it a go.

It appears that Elephant Polo is MIA so I'll never know if it's one of the greatest games ever released.

ASP Software was Argus Specialist Publications, who also published Home Computing Weekly and ZX Computing among others. They weren't acquired by Argus Press Software, they became them in 1984.

Planetfall and Bismark were APS's first releases but they both say ASP on the loading screens.
