Hmm mine would be 1-Ooze and then tied Old Tower and Order of Mazes ;)

Old Tower is a fair winner: multicolour, multicolour scroller!, fun.

What am I missing with Oddi the Viking? I've just fired it up and the controls are painfully unresponsive. Is it a custom isometric engine? Bonus points if so, but it doesn't seem playable.

I don't remember having those problems. Unlike the isometric style, it's a surprising good puzzle game, similar to Sokoban or others.
