This has been a far tougher choice than I expected. It is a strange list as there are several games on there which I know would be the choice of people I know or have known but nothing which jumps out to me immediately. I am trying to work out which one of these I have played on the speccy most over the years and can't say it was any one of these in particular.

As much as I admit Bomb Jack is a good conversion, it has just never been a favourite game personally.

My first thought was Back to Skool but I agree with some the comments others have made how it had been expanded beyond the original made it seem less focused. The Batman games and Bruce Lee were all very good and like many I probably sank far more time into Booty than I expected from a budget title.

In the end I am going to vote based on playability again and go for Bubble Bobble as that was such a good conversion of the arcade game, far better than I had expected to see when it was released.

Well, Bomb Jack has ended up alongside Atic Atac in our alphabet of best classic Speccy games, gaining 7 votes.

In second place, Back To Skool gained 4 votes.

A lot of titles are jointly third with 2 votes: Barbarian; Batty; Biggles; Bobby Bearing; Boulder Dash; Bruce Lee and Bubble Bobble.

All the official Batman games are jointly fourth with 1 vote each... Batman (Jon Ritman isometic 3D); Batman : The Caped Crusader; Batman : The Movie; Beyond The Ice Palace and Booty.

Now to begin the discussion thread for C...

Not voted it, but I must reckon it's a fair win!

Not my choice, but a very worthy winner!

Do we vote for an overall winner once you have one for each letter? :-D

Too late, but probably Bugaboo. I like the cinematic intro. Probably more than the game itself.
