Recommended Spanish Games That Weren’t Released In The UK?

This one goes out to our Spanish friends!

Back in the day there were a number of Spanish games translated and released in the UK through various publishers - Fred, Bugaboo, Sir Fred, Camelot Warriors, Rocco, West Bank. Often you had little idea they were developed in Spain, the reviews made no reference to them and the games were translated into English. Then Ocean signed Dinamic and made it clear these were great games that were developed in Spain and Ocean would be publishing them on the Imagine label (but with still a promotion that they were Dinamic games).

While a few games did make it to British shores (surprisingly a number as budget releases), what other games that weren’t published in the UK would be recommended that could be played with little or no translation being required - so no adventures or games that require a knowledge of Spanish like La abadía del crimen!

Oh, I forgot it! It's a lovely adventure with some screens to explore and it features a cool intro voice as in Robin of the Wood.

It's quite sad that this quality game wasn't released back in the day and instead a bunch of average or awful games like Piso Zero, Stroper, Autocrash, F-1, Hammer-Head, Jump, Kong's Revenge or Smaily were released. Well, at least The Prayer of the Warrior coders didn't get frustrated and today they work on the videogame industry.

This one didn't like me when I purchased back in the day, but hey! it's not a bad game by any means. I guess I was a little fed-up of the Speccy back then and I shelved it quickly after a few rounds.

yeah. while i may not like it, the game looks great. it is freakin' hard (on the level of NES Ghost'n'Goblins for me ;-), but still of very high quality.

p.s.: but tbh, i am kind of fan of Spanish games. one can find alot of loaders named "cargador" in my software. ;-)
