Rainbow Islands: How Graftgold brought it to home computers

Post by PeteProdge »

This morning, Andrew Braybrook wrote a blog entry on how Telecomsoft got Graftgold to bring Rainbow Islands to the five major home computer platforms. Not too much on the Speccy, but it's a cross-platform approach so lots of it is actually relevant and does go quite technical.

Of course, I'm rather fond of the story on how they got the arcade machine into their very humble office space...

It's a great read!

Man I'd really love to be a part of their team ;) Looks like they had a lot of fun doing this conversion.

Fascinating read, always interesting to learn what goes on "behind the scenes" in some of these classic games. And it goes to show that the "random" behaviour of some of these old arcade classics was really anything but.

Yea that was a great article. If it were expanded into a book kinda like the Bob Pape one would be all kinds of awesome.
