My nominations are: Karnov, Killed Until Dead, Knight Lore, Kokotoni Wilf, Kwah?

As I said before, I voted for Knight Lore, but I must reckon Kokotoni Wilf is an enjoyable game, my second choice.

Knight Lore for me. There are more enjoyable games in that list (Kikstart 2 was a brilliant, under-rated, playable gem) but Knight Lore's sheer importance to videogame history, not just the Speccy's history, cannot be underestimated. I put it into the same category as Super Mario Bros, Mario 64, Ocarina, Half Life 2, The Last Of Us, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, etc - one of those releases that simply changes things forever by moving the goalposts, and makes you re-evaluate just what a videogame is capable of.

Knight Lore.

Actually for me it's yet another classic where I was a crap player and achieved nothing.

I never took into account changing into werewolf so it always happened to me in the worst moment when I needed to escape from the enemy

There is also a trick which you'll need to use often - stand on an object to get higher, then jump, then immediately press "pick up" to get back the object you were standing on. Maybe it's simple and obvious for some people but I never learnt it in the 80s.

But still I can see the greatness of Knight Lore. It was miles ahead of the competitors when it was released. It made your jaw drop to the floor when you saw it. It's a father to all isometric games - Diablo, Fallout, Baldur's Gate... choose actually any big isometric game.

As stated in the K Discussion thread previously, I've voted for Kokotoni Wilf. I completely understand how groundbreaking Knight Lore was, and I remember being in Software City in Wolverhampton just starting at the screen in awe at the graphics, but, it just wasn't for me. I desperately wanted to like the game, but, in the end, I just found it too frustrating and this wasn't helped by the fact that I was utter shoit at it

I liked Klax.

Kikstart 1 was on the *whispers* Commodore 64/128 and Atari 8-bit platforms, but sadly not on the Speccy. Still, by all accounts, it is number 2 that's the best, 1 didn't have the course editor.

Voted for Killed Until Dead because Knight Lore has been voted enough, and Karnov already has one vote.

I think Knight Lore might get this one.

I can't believe Kokotoni Wilf came second. It's a long time since I played it, but I remember it being complete pants.

A fair winner, definitely.

Voting is still ongoing, until about 12noon UK time - anyone can change their vote until then. Normally I start/finish at 10am, but last week I had some personal stuff to deal with...

Well, there you go. Knight Lore has only just edged it to the final place by a mere fraction of a smidgin of... er, three times as many votes as the second closest contender. Way out in front with 15.

That second contender being Elite's Kokotoni Wilf, with 5 votes.

Cruelly robbed and in third place, is the excellent Kikstart II with 4 votes.

Then a few titles with only 2 votes each: Karnov; Kontrabant 2 and Kung-Fu.

Oh then the 1 pointers... Killed Until Dead; Klax; Knightmare; Knight Tyme; Knot in 3D.

Is that the biggest landslide so far? Some really strong games in this category and not that surprising Knight Lore won, but then again the H vote was a surprise!

I have a feeling that M will be bigger...
