Light Force is great, Leader Board is fantastic, Tomb of Ananka is one of the best adventuring experience I've had and its author J. Lemmon could well be my favourite adventure writer, and a fine actor too.
And there's other good stuff too, like Lode Runner or Livingstone Supongo. I like Legend of Kage too, although is very far from great.
Last Ninja 2 is exceptional, but, frankly, no fun to play.

Yeah, someone who starred 'The Apartment' or 'Some like it Hot' can't be a bad adventure writer!
I know Lazy Jones & Lightforce best, and of those two alone I would vote for the latter. However, I can't vote until I know Lords of Midnight & Chaos properly, I get the impression they're the ones that 'should' win.

Lords of Chaos was brilliant on the Amiga, not yet played it on the Spectrum. One day.

Same here. I couldn't get it back in the day and nowadays I haven't got enough time to play it properly.
As to Leaderboard, Maybe it's a question of perspective, but I've never understood the graphics that show the slope of the land.
I'd always wanted to get 'in to' LoM, but, never could. Maybe it was because, as an 11 year old kid, if my attention wasn't grabbed by a game on the first screen, then it was clearly crap
