The best classic Speccy game beginning with Q: vote
Right then, it's Sunday, so let's kick off this poll. Bit short, what with Q not being a really popular letter to begin a game name with. And from the discussion thread, it seems there is going to be a very firm winner from the Hewson camp... but is that really true? Only one way to find out...

I voted for Quazatron. Yeah, not a very original vote, but the others aren't at the same level. Maybe Quartet, but it's not a good conversion.

Went for Quazatron - no contest really.
It's not only by a country-mile the best Q game in the list, it's one of the best ever Speccy games (arguably it's greatest isometric game) and in the running as one of the greatest 8-bit games of all time - across all platforms. I think it's also a better game than Paradroid, which was more of a shoot-'em-up than Quazatron. The sound on the Speccy version is some of the best ever. Its only downfall is the scrolling and even that doesn't spoil the game all that much.

I was encouraged to have a go at it. Seems to be a bit like Elite at first glance. Errr, sort of...

I went with Quick Draw McGraw, because . . . hey, it’s pretty decent, and I never really got into Quazatron.

I nominated it (I honestly can't remember why), but I haven't voted for it. I haven't voted at all yet, I've never played Quazatron, I've barely played anything in the list - the two magazine covertape games are what I remember but I doubt they're worthy of being called the 'best' in this list.Morkin wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 8:19 pmOwn up, who voted for it..?Juan F. Where's QZythum?
I don't know. I've never got into Quazatron. I'll vote Quan Tulla just because.

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with Q: vote
Not much discussion to be had on this one eh... I think Quazatron might just nick this one by a whisker.
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...
Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with Q: vote
I have simple tastes, and it looks like Quazatron is just about safe, so I went for Quackshot.
Does anyone know why the Speccy didn't get a straight conversion of Paradroid?

I think because Paradroid looked crap.

Well, there you go. To very little surprise, Quazatron massively dominates the poll, gaining 70% of the votes - with 21 people having picked it.
The nearest contender was way behind. Quackshot! got 5 votes.
And then there are also-rans with 1 vote each: Quartet; Quasar; Quann Tulla and Quick Draw McGraw.
