I'll just cut right to it:
What is the best portable ZX Spectrum emulator to run on Puppy Linux and similar Linux distros?
I'm actually curious on what you guys think of Puppy.

@Cheez26,
Fuse is available on most Linux distributions, and that's what i recommend. I mainly use Ubuntu (Puppy is Ubuntu based), Fedora, or Mint. I did build Arch and Gentoo from scratch once, but that was three days I will be get back,

Re: What is the best emulator to run on Puppy Linux and similar distros?
I'm currently using LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) on my AMD64 desktop and I've recently decommissioned my Pi 400 and I'm probably gonna keep it down until I get a baremetal emulator that can run on it or something. The reason I asked about a portable emulator for Puppy is mostly for curiosity reasons, though I do have an old ThinkPad that could use a pick-me-up or something.

Have you tried MPAGD on Wine?
I have a small laptop with XP but MPAGD doesn't work with this OS so it'd be cool to run it from a Puppy pendrive

Re: What is the best emulator to run on Puppy Linux and similar distros?
I used to run fuse on puppy, so I don't really see a problem with spectrum emulation at all.
Of course puppy is usually used on slower computers, but if you know how to use it then it's not a problem.
Nowadays I'd prefer running on a newer computer and a more powerful distribution though.

Honestly, I still wonder if MPAGD does work on Wine. Also, I heavily recommend checking the Puppy forums for more info. I currently use BookwormPup64 as my main Pup.
OH! I should note that Puppy comes in a Slackware flavor as well.

On the note of emulators, you guys are right: Fuse is best, even on Debian-based Puppy distros.
