Speccy Classix 3000

Post by namco »

I'm probably not the only one here that has a copy of Speccy Classix 3000 CD. I just re-bought it as I did have a copy but it got lent out and never returned - but the good thing is that I now have a working copy of R-Type. The one thing I recall about it is that it did have a lot of .sna files that I've never really seen again in recent years. Have the .z80 files superseded them?

Also on this CD I've seen some programs that may be of interest? Such as SNA2TIFF and Butcher (Butcher is a program splitting .ZX tape images used by the "POLISH" ZX-Spectrum emulator [SP] into series of .header and .bytes files. These files can later be loaded into Spectrum 1.7 emulator for Amiga.) to name a few.

There's a folder that contains these ROMS:
groot-rom.zip Henk de Groot's modified Specturm ROM
imc-i1rom.zip Ian Collier's modified Interface 1 ROM
imc-rom.zip Ian Collier's modified ROM
standard-rom.zip The bog-standard ROM
tk95-rom.zip The Micro Digital TK95 ROM

Anyway, I wasn't going to upload it to archive.org but I realised that the number of games wasn't too much of a slog to go through and I could remove the distribution denied ones.

I don't see anything like that in the M section.

This is what's in the M folder:

The Mega1 file is this (possibly related to the MegaBasic file underneath it - anyone recognise it?):

Whilst I remember that I have the ability to add images to this post without faffing with other "services".

Here is the Programs folder:

The Programs > IMBPC folder:

The Programs > Amiga folder:

And the root folder:

If you want a screenshot of any of the folders (including games ones), let me know.
