Wow, talk about being superficial. In that case you weren't part of the core-audience anyway.
Personally I don't give a toss about the finish. For me it's the features that matter.

Old Tower is a multicolour game with scrolling. One might describe it as enhanced.

All you have to do is blow on it. Blowing fixes most technical problems - tapes and cartridges that don't load, batteries that seem dead, CDs and DVDs that skip, connectors that don't connect, PCBs that act up, cooling fans that run slow - all sorted with a quick purse of the lips.

I once read somewhere that hitting the tape softly against the table help unleash the stress (electric stress, I supposed) the tape had.

Because if the game didn't load it was because of the tape stress :lol:
