Spectrum Computing

Hi, I am restoring +3, but could not make my +3 disc drive to work.
The head moves to the end and then stuck there trying to read again and again. I have tried to adjust the travel limit, but could not make it work.
I will take even old disc drive(not tested) too.
Ebay is empty.

I might still have mine, from when I removed it (about 5 years ago!) to put in an internal 3.5. It did work fine, at least with the only 3" disk I had!

Are you in the UK ?

I'll have to search over the weekend to still see if I have it. Think of me as "last resort" if you're not able to locate one elsewhere. I don't recall getting rid of it, but...

An Amstrad CPC or PCW (word processor thing) drive should work though if needed, (not confirmed!) may be worth checking 'the bay' and elsewhere for one of those if you've only searched specifically for a Speccy one maybe ?

Not been able to locate it today but I only had a relatively quick search of a few boxes. I'll post back tomorrow with a more definite 'yes/no' answer. Slightly surprised another one has not been offered or turned up though. They are hardly rare, even now.
