Mastering Machine Code on Your ZX Spectrum (Toni Baker)
Mastering Machine Code on Your ZX Spectrum (Toni Baker)
I know it's a long shot but has anyone got a spare copy of the above they want to sell at a reasonable price? Cheers.

I had a quick scan of the net but nada, you have to love the comment on the Amazon page though

And, no, I’m not selling either of them.
It took me more months than I care to remember, so keep looking.

Probably not good recommending another book which isn't on eBay either but in addition to Toni's book I found this one to be excellent as well, especially as I got more into coding. The book is Advanced Spectrum Machine Language from Melbourne House and the great thing about the scan on this site and WoS is the original owner has written corrections and comments in the margins which helped me understand it all The first part of the book covers the screen so might be useful now.

Thanks TomD I have that. Good book. I've got the ZX81 book from Toni (much easier to source still) 1024MAKTomD wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 9:23 pm Advanced Spectrum Machine Language from Melbourne House and the great thing about the scan on this site and WoS is the original owner has written corrections and comments in the margins which helped me understand it all The first part of the book covers the screen so might be useful now.

Thanks. I prefer a physical book. Bit old fashioned like that!+3code wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 10:17 pm Here, LPRINT it,

Re: Mastering Machine Code on Your ZX Spectrum (Toni Baker)
i used to have that book. i bought it when i was 8 lol. i think 'assembly language for games and other fast programs' is a much better book. easier to understand with more instant results, therefore being more fun, i guess.
i started programming the spectrum when i was 8 :-
1 plot rnd*255,rnd*175
2 goto 1

As 1024MAK started the trend of showing his retro Spectrum book shelf, I thought I would show mine too.
