phpBB upgrade

Post by PeterJ »

Hello,

At some point over this weekend I will be upgrading phpBB from 3.2.5 to 3.2.8. Don't worry if the site goes down! We will be back (hopefully)!

I presume it all went okay as everything seems normal...

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :dance
Looking forward to summer later in the year.

I meant to post an update and forgot. Sorry.

I'm afraid not, and I had to revert. I normally use the update package and it works fine, however this time it failed. I tried disabling all extensions and got the same error. I looked up the error on the phpBB forum and the recommendation is to use the full install which I'm going to put aside a quiet day to do. Once again spider has been very helpful with advice.

I'll obviously backup the database and forum first. Also I pay digital ocean for a weekly backup too.

Thanks for asking.

I saw some of this happening - it was terrifying! Thanks for trying Peter. That's a horrible job (and I have to admit that I'm not envious of it).

Thanks R-Tape

I wish phpBB had something easy like the one click WordPress updates.

I will try again when I have a day free.
