If anyone knows of a good source of a wider range of Sam Coupe games than is more generally available to download, please could they PM me? Thank you.

World of Sam has downloads for the games where the original authors have granted them permission...
https://www.worldofsam.org/products?fie ... arget_id=3

The usual "ROM" sites exist if you want to download a larger archive.

Colin "Quazar" Piggot actually owns a lot of rights for SAM software; he has invested a considerable amount obtaining these for his SAM magazine, so those titles shouldn't be available for download elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure I must have a download archive that has more titles on; if you're just using titles for testing purposes (and grabbing screenshots).

(see edited post above re. games that have active rights)

Then that's pretty much going to be what is available out there. Colin has his own private collection of material for the authors that he's obtained rights from. Some interesting things in there that will hopefully make it onto future Sam Revival disks.

I'm surprised that you're not still making your way through the FRED disks. :) Most of the SAM's programs and games were distributed through the various disk magazines.

It's specific released titles that I'm not able to find. Don't worry, I will continue looking.

Do you have any specific names?
If they are on World of SAM but with permission denied, then Andrew Collier should be able to provide you with screen shots.

Also does anyone volunteer to catalog Fred magazine contents? It would require filling a spreadsheet like this:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Thus the result would look like this:

https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... ue_id=3817

and this:

https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... ue_id=4052

Nope. :) I've got plenty of text adventure archive projects to keep me busy... I could look at the SCAC (SAM Adventure Club) disks at some point, though. I've been working on extracting a lot of the content from those, anyway/

The vast majority of SAM software is on the Fred disks; so if you are serious about covering the SAM then they will be a major source of content.

That's s pity, but anything you can provide on the adventure club disks will I'm sure be much appreciated. Don't take any screens though until the new format is sorted with the filter. Thank you.

Loads of other stuff to go through before those. I'm working my way through the entries list, but with a lack of contributers it may take a while. It will happen when it happens. No rush.

Dan’s page was the foundation for the pages on worldofsam, which also contain authors. https://www.worldofsam.org/products/fred

Actually we don't need so much information. A list of demos and full games included in each magazine issue would be enough. Like this:
