Well done guys, yep scanning is pretty easy :D Its the post production that takes the time .

Just renaming the scans in the archive to have the publisher also, as this will help get the correct inlay with the correct versions.

only about 500 now to rename ;)
Scanner extraordinaire, 1000`s of magazines and Software from the 8 and 16 bit era now up on internet archive in lovely 600dpi.
Donations are welcome of items to scan that are no longer needed ;)

Mort your inlay scans on Archive.org are from 2017, if I remember correctly.

Have you scanned some new ZX inlays since that time?

Thanks Dru. I forgot to add it first time around, but it was in the queue. I will be collating the new entries this week.

Hi Pavero,
Yep new Inlays are being added as I find better copies and instructions etc, best bet is to look for the date signature of the latest set and check for newbies that way 1st via a new update on a letter , then the date stamp of the creation on the directory of the games. Should be fairly easy to find the latest that way.

Running just under 5000 now! :D

BTW, why the size of spectruminlayArchivez.zip is more than 7 GB? It doesn't make sence. :)

After I have added a new entry (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1316) for the monitor/tracer The Servant I tried to add some data for the spread sheet program Tascalc (ID 11133).

The Servant: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/edit/en ... 7136cbf8df

Up to now I added a promotional flyer and the full inlay from the ZX Spectrum +3 disk package. I would like to add the scan from the full Tascalc manual which is still missing from all ZX archives. Due to the 2MB limit I can't do that - it's 24 a double page scan, which really exceeds that limit. Is there any other way to add this to the database?

Top stuff. It's best if you can upload huge stuff like that to Archive.org, and the various ZXDB sites can remote to it.

Hmm, ok. But how did this PDF file made it into ZXDB, then?

https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... id=2001502

It would be nice to have the stuff at one place, I think.

Some of the larger files are already linked externally, for instance this PDF file:

https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... id=2000063

Notice that, although it's stored at Archive.org, there's absolutely no difference for end users.

Please send us your large file anyway, either by email directly, or a link to download it. We will find a good place to store it, and ensure it gets added properly to ZXDB!

Thanks for the info, Einar! I'll try to compose a download link tomorrow.

BTW: Thank you (and all other people involved!) very much for the ZXDB!

Hi, I sent the files for Sophia II last Saturday, yet there have been no updates since then.

Today I also sent the 1.1a version files for Sophia.

Will there be an update to the archive next week?

Yep. I'm going to work on new entries and files tomorrow. These updates take a long time to do, and I've been busy.

Hi PeterJ awesome as always... BUT! seems that CGC2018 titles are not in the update?

Edit: oh, I can see them with the link, but I can't search for them, perhaps I need to wait a bit longer for the propagation.

Hi druellan

If you search with the 'Advanced Search' on the home page the default is not to include 'Crap Games' You need to switch that with the pull down to include them.
