Bug with special characters in titles

If you search for certain games with the character '+' in them, you get an error like the following in the results page, seemingly related to invalid characters in filenames:
Warning: getimagesize(pub/sinclair/screens/load/b/scr/Buzzsaw%2B(FoxtonLocksMix).scr): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/functions.php on line 212
For example, this occurs if you search for the following titles:
128 Music + Carols
Alien Swarm + Arena!
Buzzsaw+ (Foxton Locks Mix)
