Ouch! Thanks for the tip. It should be fixed nowAst A. Moore wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 12:37 amThis is really neat!Cebrian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 10:36 pm Hello! I co-wrote a simple 48K platformer last month, feel free to check it out at http://ancientbytes.com (it’s still in beta so feel free to report any bugs or feedback).
Very smooth, just the amount of inertia, cool graphics and sound effects!
Fix the English version link, though. I had to manually change the file name in the URL.

I'm not an expert on Jet Set Willy. Is it just main sprite and music change or are there more changes ???

Cebrian I did it! See you in Egypt. I feel like Michael Jordan, Fred Astaire and the Lawnmower man trying to escape
Re: New Software 2019
Ooh this is good. Nice, eerie early 1980's look, and it feels 'unAGD'. Great action puzzle idea. The inlay is cool too - very 16 bit!
The author is another WASD loony though.

New beta 4 for Lovecraft Mythos and awesome level editor! at ancientbytes.com
the beta 2 was great and addictive, imho it only needed some more introductory levels.. what do you think about the new changes?

Re: New Software 2019
Just had a play and 'found' 4 levels. It takes a bit of getting used to but it's fun to run rings around these creatures of the underworld, apart from the Chthonian—that scares me and gets me into a right lather. What has changed since the first version? I can't see any differences.
Cebrian, was this made with MK2, La Churrera, or neither?

this is far better imho https://yadi.sk/d/6EA8gK4Iscqj8w

Thanks for playing! There are quite a few changes in the new beta. Here is a short list:R-Tape wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 4:59 pm

- A difficulty selector. In easy mode bullets give you three times more ammo, and pickups are more frequent.
- Health pickups, which should only appear under dire circumstances.
- Night Gaunts are now slower and have some limited ability to circumvent obstacles.
- An intermission screen (to retry a level). Now starting the game from the main menu always starts in the first screen.
- A new ending screen for easy mode
- The three last screens are now different as they were too unfair.
The game was written directly in assembler, using Pasmo, and uses no library or engine. I plan to release the source alongside the final version (it's clumsy and uninteresting, but I love open source and full Spectrum game sources seem to be rare, so why not).
By the way, the Cthonian will almost always spawn behind you and is not fast enough to get you if you run in a straight line without delay. It's only dangerous in late levels when there is no space to get away. It can also be killed with a bullet if you turn around and are fast enough.
Re: New Software 2019
Oh well I already told the author that I disliked the new Night Gaunt and changes on level design
there you have a RZX walkthough that I recorded half-drunk https://yadi.sk/d/dsxpg9ADgk0LfA
I am not a good player but wanted to keep pushing. The latest beta does not get to push me the same way

Have you tried hard mode? Or calling JESUS in the Gods menu? The resulting challenge should be closer to the original beta.hikoki wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 6:26 pm Oh well I already told the author that I disliked the new Night Gaunt and changes on level design

Re: New Software 2019
I know FizzBuzz as a spoken word game, but didn't realise it was a common software developer question.Fizz Buzz is a very simple programming task, asked in software developer job interviews.
A typical round of Fizz Buzz can be:
Write a program that prints the numbers from 1 to 100 and for multiples of '3' print "Fizz" instead of the number and for the multiples of '5' print "Buzz".
Has anyone here ever been asked to do this at a job interview?
Re: New Software 2019
Actually no only some SQL questions & tasks during interview.
Re: New Software 2019
Me personally not. But I've heard that yes, it's actually asked quite often on interviews.Has anyone here ever been asked to do this at a job interview?
And here's some really weird interview story about it

I don't know if you'd make a separate entry for the DAAD version of Hibernated 1, compared to the PAW version. There are examples, I think, of both instances where Quilled & PAWed entries are combined and also listed as separate games.

Re: New Software 2019
This one is 2018, and the same author also has two others that are missing: Mini Explorer and Elon M. with Jetpack. All very good AGD games that many wouldn't guess were AGD. They'll have entries in the next update, hopefully file permission too.

We used to play this as a drinking game, but, it was called Sh1t B0110x. We’d sit round a table and we’d count up from one onwards going from person to person and anytime a multiple of 3 landed on you you said sh1t and multiples of 5 you’d say b0110x. If you got it wrong you had to neck your drink. You can imagine the states we used to get i after a few rounds !!!!
