Ha, whaddaya know—the first game of 2019!
Every man should plant a tree, build a house, and write a ZX Spectrum game.

Author of A Yankee in Iraq, a 50 fps shoot-’em-up—the first game to utilize the floating bus on the +2A/+3,
and zasm Z80 Assembler syntax highlighter.

Here’s hoping that 2019 is as great, if not better, than 2018 was for quality Speccy games.

Ya never know I may even start PAWing/GACing that adventure game that I’ve been promising to do since I was 12 😀

Great char based shmup with power ups & bosses, something we hardly see these days! Thanks a lot—a great start to the year!

And err, when we get sorted (soonish!), Penisoft will be a new entry for ZXDB publishers.

There's quite an active group of 8-bit adventure writers on Twitter and FB now that can give you a hand if you get stuck.

(Maybe not so much on the GAC side of things... we're not completely insane!)
8-bit Text Adventure Gamer - games - research.

LOL! My hometown is Peniche and Penisoft was a kind of homage to it and was founded around 1987 :D

Cheers.

And this is the *LIGHT* version?!! You guys know how to throw a party!

Loads of great stuff here. My favourites are 'Bullfinch', 'And where is my present' (both from low-end graphics), and the twister at the end of 'Universal Invitation' made me giggle.

Hello! I co-wrote a simple 48K platformer last month, feel free to check it out at http://ancientbytes.com (it’s still in beta so feel free to report any bugs or feedback).

It was intended to be just a little thing written to learn some Z80 but we were having a lot of fun so we ended up adding a few levels and some Easter eggs.

Thanks!

Thanks for playing! I’d recommend calling Azathoth for help. Calling certain other gods may not be advisable, though.

This is really neat!
Very smooth, just the amount of inertia, cool graphics and sound effects!

Fix the English version link, though. I had to manually change the file name in the URL.
