Has anyone here ever been asked to do this at a job interview?
Me personally not. But I've heard that yes, it's actually asked quite often on interviews.

And here's some really weird interview story about it ;)

Also new this year...

Eight Feet Under
by Stefan Vogt
published by Pond Software (2019)
Text adventure
Produced using DAAD https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=30013
Spectrum 48K - two parts
language - English

(Only available as a bonus with the physical release of Hibernated 1 from PolyPlay
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=34312 )

On the same subject... the current version of...
Hibernated 1: This Place is Death https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=34312
was also produced with DAAD
and will be published as a physical edition by Polyplay in 2019
Hibernated 1: This Place is Death - Collector's Edition - CPC/Spectrum cassette @ 20 Euros
Hibernated 1: This Place is Death - Collector's Edition - Spectrum 3"-Diskette @ 25 Euros

I don't know if you'd make a separate entry for the DAAD version of Hibernated 1, compared to the PAW version. There are examples, I think, of both instances where Quilled & PAWed entries are combined and also listed as separate games.

This one is 2018, and the same author also has two others that are missing: Mini Explorer and Elon M. with Jetpack. All very good AGD games that many wouldn't guess were AGD. They'll have entries in the next update, hopefully file permission too.

Fizz Buzz is a very simple programming task, asked in software developer job interviews.
A typical round of Fizz Buzz can be:
Write a program that prints the numbers from 1 to 100 and for multiples of '3' print "Fizz" instead of the number and for the multiples of '5' print "Buzz".
I know FizzBuzz as a spoken word game, but didn't realise it was a common software developer question.

Has anyone here ever been asked to do this at a job interview?

We used to play this as a drinking game, but, it was called Sh1t B0110x. We’d sit round a table and we’d count up from one onwards going from person to person and anytime a multiple of 3 landed on you you said sh1t and multiples of 5 you’d say b0110x. If you got it wrong you had to neck your drink. You can imagine the states we used to get i after a few rounds !!!!

My first impression is that this is really cool. The multicolour viewer will be most up my street.

Who is the target audience? Mainly demo coders? It certainly seems to do more in one place than a PC based utility. I can't decide if it's a fancy multi-functioning (though unused) kitchen gadget, or a real utility with an edge over what is already available.

Either way—it's an impressive piece of zx-software.

"The Viewer will only work properly on Pentagon-based machines. Minimum configuration: Pentagon 128k.
If you have ZX Evo with TS-Conf then The Viewer will use all 14 Mhz."

I will try this later on,so is it not compatible with zx next?

It's target on russian speccy scene and mostly for zx evolution users. I think we have at least 2000 units of for zx evo but there is no official sales stats. Also our speccy scene slightly different and focused on demos, TR DOS, real 5'25 floppys and Pentagon timings. I have Zx Evo too and it's a great machine with proper scandoubler.

Who is the target audience?
Yes, it's mostly for people who own real clones compatible with Pentagon.
It's Tr-Dos based and even if you transfered it to tape and replaced all disk reading routines with
tape reading routines it would still need Pentagon timings to properly display multicolour pictures

Such viewers appeared before, for example this one
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=21434
but this seems certainly most modern and advanced.

Just to mention that these were added to the site in last week's ZXDB update. Details are below. Thanks to John for his permission to allow us to host his titles.

It is very nicely drawn and detailed as you say but for me it's too much monochrome. The original is more colourful
and maybe simpler but somehow nicer, at least for me.

I played it briefly but didn't know what I should do.

Are you supposed to open all doors and collect all stuff in one location and then move to another one through door? Or should you
work at many locations at the same time?

And how can you fight with enemies? What fire button does?

Have you never played an origional version, Rafal? ;-)

You must open all doors in every screen and take all treasures (125 pieces total).

You can't fight with enemies, you can use FIRE button if you go from one screen to another via system of doors.

And I must say this version is much more playable than original title. Especially if you can stand on ladders safely, if some pirate is approaching.
