I know that I post the same response each time I see an utterly brilliant multi-colour game done for the speccy, but, can you imagine how this would have been received in the 80s?!!!!?!?!?!?

Not played it yet, but, it looks stunning.

I like that you didn't make a copy of Manic Miner but instead created a lot of new levels with inspirations coming from different games.

By the way, how do you complete Level 2? I have to jump to collect the last coin and then I fall down close to exit but not touching it and lose a life.
Ralf, there was a bug on level 2 (a last minute fix that screw it...). It was reported also by Javier Quero, here's a lil bugfix version.

Level 2 had a bug in it which is why I couldn't complete it.

Its now been fixed and the download link in my video has been updated.

This is great! Up to level 8 so far. The graphics are fantastic and the difficulty is just right I think once you get used to how to time the jumps.

I've noticed Spectaculator for Android crashes sometimes after the game ends, presumably this is a problem with Spectaculator rather than the game itself (it doesn't do it on Fuse for Windows, haven't tested it on anything else yet)

Good work chaps!

Yes spectaculator for Android crashes I've also noticed it. The windows version also don't play the boot squash sound...

But it works on others emulators and a Real machine.

Maybe someone can contact the author, I've mail them but without success.

Great game—the ZX-Dev comp is spoiling us again! I didn't get into Gandalf so much, but this one is right up my street. Well done Cristian!

My version of Spectaculator (8.0 on Windows 10) doesn't show the multicolour. Weird. I thought it catered for that.

It works for me, are you using the correct Spectrum model? When I played it before the colours were wrong because I accidentally had the Pentagon selected.

Nice game, I got to level 2 playing the non-bugfixed version but I'll try to get further with the new release.

I've never heard this saying before, where does it come from? All I found was that you shouldn't eat swordfish when pregnant!

I think he's referring to the 'swordfish' picture that appears when you complete Manic Miner without using the level skip cheat. It was probably a reference to this originally.

Graphics, sound and overall presentation are great.
Maybe the sprite animation could be a bit faster, I got the impression that gameplay would be much better then.
Anyway, thanks to the authors for the excellent and very professionally made game.

Hi Pegaz, thanks for your comments!

In some moment I thought that Pietro should run faster and even Jump higher, so I've asked to my team if they like the idea of including these elements (The engine can handle extra speed easily), but we all agreed that having two different gameplays would confuse the players, so we choose maintain the original Manic Miner speed and game rules as the base of this game.
