Alley Cat in development in the russian forums... no news?

There was a topic in WoS about the conversion of this game, but for a long time it was said that the author cancelled the development, which is a pity because it looked excellent and it is one of my favorites from the old MS DOS games. Does anybody know if any other author has taken over the project and thinks to complete it? I wish!!
