New software 2018

People are still making stuff for the Sinclair related machines. Tell us about new games and other software that runs on the Spectrum, ZX80/ZX81, Pentagon and Next.

Cheers, the game looks okay but the name belongs in a crap games compo.

Yeah, I suppose the name is a joke. But just calling something "advanced simulator of something" doesn't make it automatically crap, right? ;)

Great discovery! Just remember it's 2017 year.

The posted screenshot is wrong. It shows some other unfinished project which become an inspiration for this actual game:

Lo más gracioso es que es clavado en base a un proyecto que nunca terminé con Climacus

The funniest thing is that it is stuck based on a project that I never finished with Climacus

I like the graphics and climate of the game but wouldn't touch it without map and snapshots ;) It looks like a quite big maze and one wrong move means falling into lava and game over.

I also noticed minor bugs like ladders not matching on neighbour locations but you can live with it.

Waiting for Pavero's map ;)

Thanks Ralf, screenshot changed. Are you sure about the year? I think it's 2018/02/09, and everything before it has no download link and is joke advertising.

hikoki or Ivanzx, can you confirm the release date?

I would say the game is from 2018 since the author said in the past he lost everything and had to start it again!

Ouch! Unless someone says otherwise I'll assume the first time a finalised version was made available was Feb 9th then.

Well, it says 2017 in main menu.

But actually author could plan to release it in 2017 but did it only now. I don't know.

Personally I have unfinished games where menu says 2012

Cheers. Just checking - is this definitely authored with MK1?

If anyone knows how to tell by looking at the code it would be generally useful (something I asked here).

I played Dungeon Raiders a bit.

The idea is great. The graphics are good. But it still asks for improvement.

First thing is that it is a bit unfair. You have to protect some characters but you have no chance to protect them
if an enemy respawns just an inch from your character.

Then there is this annoying beeper sound all the time...

But it's always good to see such fresh, new ideas on Spectrum.

Plumbers don't wear ties:
http://idpixel.ru/games/plumbersdontweartieszx/

I believe it belongs to Crap Games Compo https://cgc.source.run/news but just to be sure I'll report it here. It seems to be a better quality than an average game from that compo.

I'm surprised that they have screenshots from that far into the game. The one who took them must have the patience of a saint to sit through it!

A new puzzle game Knights:
http://www.indieretronews.com/2018/03/k ... eVIfp.gbpl
Image

Released in 2018 or still in 2017?

Anyway it's a puzzle game where you move a chess knight or knights according to the chess rules and you have to reach the destination fields.

Try it. You click first on the knight and later on the destination field. The first levels are easy but previous experience with chess certainly helps. In later levels some knights are already in destination places but you actually have to move them to complete the level.
