I don't know if the author is reading us but the game has some critical bugs.

Try to go up and make a colission with enemy while doing it. It makes the game hang or crash.

It's 128K only Ralf, I've already suggested to Sebastian that he make this clear somewhere.

Here's a non sendspace download link for now. It'll be on the site in the next update.

Just tried it, I find it rather... surreal, and that Beethoven's head chasing you is a lovely touch

A very simple title that reminds me of early titles, which isn't a bad thing ;) The unusual setting and clever use of tunes impressed me the most.

This game is quite mad!

The intro music is "I just can't get enough" isn't it? The in game 'Tubular Bells' makes being chased by Beethoven even more terrifying

It could be a good idea to append the machine model to every file name. Fuse-utils has some tools that were developed recently to detect the model of a speccy file.

It may be much more complicated than you suspect ;)

There are programs that will run on 128kB but won't run on 48kb
But there are also programs that will run on 48kB but won't run on 128kB
And there are programs that will run on both 48kB and 128kB but won't run on Spectrum +2A. And so on.

Actually you would have to keep some flag for each model of Spectrum if the given file will run on it or not.

I was referring to serbalgi 's snapdump. See this post: https://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/ ... ent_929400

Edit:
I guess one would have to deal with .z80 snaphots as this file format provides info about the specific machine model

Ahh yes, snapshots (.sna, .z80) hold info about the model that they were saved on. Tape images (.tap. .tzx) are a different story.

On the other hand if you click on snapshot any decent emulator will switch to Spectrum model from the snapshot so there is no a chance for mistake.
