Welcome to Hollywood

Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

Welcome to Hollywood

Post by Andre Leao »

One of the best hidden (and unknown) Portuguese treasures is revealed at last. It could have been released by Code Masters or CRL, but due to the multiload system, it wasn't. Now you can play this wonderful game...

Great discovery!

Some nice graphics in the game. The game itself is similar to the infamous "Rock Star Ate My Hamster" with all good and bad
sides of this genre. It's easy and fun for a moment but the final result seems a bit random. Or am I missing some strategy?
It could have been released by Code Masters or CRL, but due to the multiload system, it wasn't.
I can see another problem, the game uses a lot of real people names. To avoid copyrigths They would probably have to
do something like in "Rock Star..." and replace real names with some fake names or funny altered names.

True, probably one of the reason the game wasn´t released, even being easy to change the names...

Looks amazing, just the kind of quirky game I've always loved on Spectrum. The inclusion of real names/films is an added bonus, you seldom see them in games for the aforementioned reasons. Will definitely give it a go later on...

Ralf: regarding the random results: it is not. I now have the full instructions (I will share the next few days), and you´ll understand the full mechanic of the game... It is crucial to know each actor/actess... ;)
