One booklet that seems to have been overlooked in this topic is 'Sinclair Starter', which came free with issue 20. You can see the cover of this booklet here. The Centre for Computing History seem to be unaware that the booklet came with Sinclair User, as they've put it on their site in the section 'ZX81 Brochures and Promotional Items'. I'm 99% sure I still own my 'Sinclair Starter', but I think it's buried away somewhere and therefore currently inaccessible.
I think one reason for the confusion over Sinclair User booklets in 1984 is that when the covers of issues 24, 27 and 30 mention 'free software booklets', the "booklets" they are referring to are actually pull-out centre sections of the three issues called 'Soft Centre'.
