Betadisk - original floppy

Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

Betadisk - original floppy

Post by Alone Coder »

Does anybody have the original floppy supplied with Betadisk interface, or Beta 128 disk interface? I only have TCOPY and DOCTOR from it. As far as I know, there also was a "boot", maybe something else.

Other than the Delta 128 utility disk for the Sinclair QL, I wasn't able to locate anything. Apparently some of the commands from the disk were relocated to later versions of the builtin ROM. And there is this catalogue from one version of the Beta 128 manual:

Code: Select all

     Title: $Utili
     6 file(s)
     0 Del. file(s)
     A:secread <C> 1:tape5.0 <C> 4
     A:doctor <B> 22:tapecopy<B> 1
     A:boot <B> 3:magic <B> 12
