"Nave" at last recovered... :)
Not a MIA anymore. Who will be the first to complete "Nave"?

What's the story behind this one?

Only the intro was preserved, but none of the levels. We recovered each of the levels, so people can play the games. 129 secreens, now we need the map. Maybe pavero will be able to do it...
Re: "Nave" at last recovered... :)
Great discovery!
It's this title:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=27518
The comment says "The tzx is incomplete - the game is missing its level and is thus unplayable." I guess it will have to be corrected
A hint: please create a tape image cotaining main game block and all the levels.

Hum... How can I do that?
Re: "Nave" at last recovered... :)
Use an utility like Tapir or Zx Blockeditor by Claus Jahn to join the files.Hum... How can I do that?
If you have problems with it, I may do it tomorrow.

Uploaded the joined TZX here. The link will expire in 21 days, so grab it while it’s hot. I also added the standard archive block to the TZX (name, publisher, authors, genre, etc.), as well as Tape Pause and description (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) blocks.

Better grab the file from my link and replace your original upload with it so it doesn’t expire.Andre Leao wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:45 amThanks so much!!!! Will post it today at the blog...Ast A. Exactly! The portuguese Spectrum preservation is on fire, congratulations and thanks for sharing them
I remember I wrote a few years ago a post saying that Portugal is missing a proper Zx Spectrum preservation team
that would deal with preserving old software like it happens in UK or Spain.
Now I can happily take back my words. You are doing a great work in preserving these MIAs. I recall some time ago you did Play For Peace https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=27471 and now Nave.
Are there any important Portugese games left that are still MIA?

Re: "Nave" at last recovered... :)
Hi guys, thanks for the nice words.
You can check here all the games we are preserving (we post 2/3 MIA's / week and I can assure you 2020 is already completed with MIA's till the end of the year).
https://planetasinclair.blogspot.com/p/ ... vados.html
(just click on the pictures)
Most important games we preserved:
1. Astor Software: almost 100 games and utilities exists, we already preserved half of the list, but still looking for the others.
2. Timex Portugal: more than 100 games and utilities exists, more than 80% already preserved
3. Most important (portuguese) games preserved: Play for Peace, Nave, Talismã (cannot post this one, the coder doesnt allow it), Maratona, JIM, Doce Lar, Brum Brum (the original .tzx), O Segredo dos Templários. We still have a few more to post...
At the moment we are looking for the following items:
1. The rest of the Timex and Astor games
2. Corrida de Caracóis (Pedro Osório is already deceased, so his son is looking for the game to post on Planeta Sinclair)
3. SOS and HERO (the coder is looking for the game on his loft)
4. Elifoot (even the coder does not own the game)
5. Talismã (part 3 and 4), probably never released and the coder is a moron, he doesnt allow us to make the game available. He even does not want to talk to anyone releated with the Spectrum...

R-Tape can we have this preserved on the original entry?Ast A. Moore wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 11:58 pm Uploaded the joined TZX here. Yep. I've already grabbed it for the next update.
Re: "Nave" at last recovered... :)
Oh! and Andre Leao on the database we have 1991, but on your article the release seems 1990, can you confirm? Thanks!

Re: "Nave" at last recovered... :)
I asked one of the coders, he confirmed the game was released on February 1991. So it is 1991, I already fixed on the post.
