Note: This is the first version of this game from Pi Software from 1982. The version already online which is also the version re-released by CP Software is from 1983. Proof of that is at the first screen of the game, where this says 'Pi Software (c) 1982' in Blue, while the one already online says 'Pi Software (c) 1983' in black. Also different REM lines at the beginning of the first program, and different file structures

Re: uMIA: Backgammon V1.0 - Pi Software
Some thoughts about this game. First of all the year of release must be changed to 1982. Second, the file backgammon_3.tzx.zip that is supposed to be a Pi Software release can be deleted, and substituted by the one I’ve preserved above. It’s not possible that Pi Software had this different version released on their own in 1983.
Prove of that is that backgammon_3.tzx.zip is identical to the tzx file of the CP Software release, and CP Software had an add for Backgammon in Popular Computing Weekly in the 6 January 1983 issue on page 4. So Ian Marshall (Author) must have made a few changes for the CP Software re-release, making it a 1983 game. The Pi Software tzx file already online is probably just someone doing a tzx from a pirat tape, and uploading it to WOS ages ago as a pure Pi Software release, as the game doesn’t mention CP Software anywhere.
So conclusion:
Change year from 1983 to 1982
Replace backgammon_3.tzx.zip with the one I’ve preserved above
Hope all this makes sense?
