Help wanted - CSS CGC entries

Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

BTW, I'm going to keep an eye for new entries, one was just added yesterday (already on the ZIP).

Has anyone got any (or even better—all) of the games from the 2017 CGC?

Neither Chris Young's CGFinder nor SC have an archive file of them, and the hosting website doesn't exist anymore.

I would like to be of some help but I'm not sure my computer skills are sufficient but if there's something tedious but simple that I could do, I would be glad to.

Only "Fetch a Ketchup" has been saved by the Wayback Machine. I still have my entries somewhere, plus a few other ones as well, but not the full set, unfortunately.

I've managed to locate my 2016 WIP off old dead PC. Now trying to work through it again. Some clarification: in the absence of a loading screen (for example, game was provided as snapshot) would you like a title screen instead?

Stout fellow. If you could highlight which are without load screen there is a flag for this. I don't know what this flag does, but I can set it.

I'd say don't take a title screen.

BTW—if you've claimed a year and didn't find time to finish it (or start it!), don't worry at all, but drop me a PM if you don't think you'll get around to it.

That year has loads of missing games. Might be better to pick another year at the mo.

Hi guys, I think I'm done with 2006 but there are some games in the zip that don't have an existing entry in SC. Those games are listed in that year compo site but I don't know what to do with them, as they come as .p files. Do you know how to open those .p? Are those files to be included here in SC anyway?

Thanks

There are ZX81 tape images. You can use emulator EightyOne to open them.

They need to be added to ZXDB/SC, but producing proper screenshots for them is tricky. We will probably need kolbeck's assistance here!

Manu128k, perhaps you could just send me the Spectrum-only screens as before, and make a separate list of ZX81 stuff (no need for screenshots). I could then forward the relevant bits to kolbeck?
