Making TZX from Wav files

Hi,

I'm looking to convert some Wav files of old projects to TZX. I'm not sure what is the best way to go about this on Windows... Ramsoft's MakeTZX2 doesn't seem to be available anymore?

Any advice would be welcome. Well, any advice related to the Wav/TZX side of things. :)

Why you say MakeTzx is not available? Get it for example here:
http://www.tzxvault.org/help.htm

And check this recent thread:

I mean, the Ramsoft site no longer exists. The link you posted is not the Windows/GUI version.

You can download the latest versions of MakeTZX and MakeTZX GUI for Windows from my website, the one on the TZX Vault is outdated. Here are the links:

MakeTZX v2.40 beta 1

MakeTZX GUI for Windows v0.50 beta

Thanks, Alessandro. That's what I was after. Will give those a go.

Hi

I am also looking to preserve some MIA games, which I have managed to create.WAV files for but when I tried the links about they appeared not to work anymore?

What do you need MakeTZX or other tools?

If it’s the first, Alessandro‘s links above still work and that’s what I used recently.

I always use wav2tzx for best results

I use wav2tzx as a secondary resource, most of the times MakeTZX will yield proper results.

Wow, zombie thread. I am guessing, though, that I must've failed at my attempts back then. :)

Just noticed it was 3 years ago! bet you’d learned lots since then, I know I’ve gained lots of knowledge just in the last few days alone with the help of this forum for pointers.

Nope, I still find the whole digitising of tapes completely baffling. :)

Ok, happy to share tips I’ve found and can recommend some processes that I know have worked for me. Ask away ;-)
