Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

Boum by Eric Parisi, 1985, Argentina

Sorting the games published by the label CZ in Argentina, I stumbled into this title named Boum. It cough my attention because is the only title that has an author name and a copyright message in the inlay.

After the recovery, it is clear the game is from Argentina. Is not on the ZXDB/WOS by this name, so, chances are this is a MIA.

Title: BOUM
Original Release Year: 1985
Author: Eric A. Parisi
Machine: ZX Spectrum 48k
Message Language: Spanish
Genre: Arcade Game: Action
Maximum Players: 1

I'm still unsure about the publisher. The CZ logo is the same Czerweny used for the CZ Spectrum Plus, a local enhanced clone, so, the game seems to be part of the launch campaign, but I don't have any confirmation about that.

Looks like it's based on an LCD hand-held game, though I can't remember the name.
Apart from the tank at the bottom, all the falling objects are done by switching attributes on and off.

Oh, interesting. BTW, on the game you can also fire your tank, but yes! I remember a gamewatch with a similar game.

It's Plane and Tank Battle from various manufacturers. I presume anyone could buy the core and re-package it; even Tandy had a go. You had to get your tank over a bridge from a cave to a fort, avoiding a constant rain of bombs, and allowing for a randomly operating drawbridge.

I think the basic concept was first developed by Nintendo with a Game & Watch called 'Helmet'. Can't shoot in that game though, going to download and try this out!
