Ahh, the delights of the ultrafast 300 baud or 75/1200 baud modems
Although it was long after this that I actually got a modem.
I don’t remember this particular TV programme, but I do remember a computer TV programme in the U.K. that also broadcast computer programs via the TV audio. I’m sure this was on Channel 4 on either Saturday mornings or Sunday mornings
In later years I use to connect to the Maplin modem in order to buy electronic parts. Very handy, as their computer system could tell you if they had the part in stock, so in the middle of the night, you could order the bits for your latest project
