Arcade1Up 3/4 Scale Cabinets in Smyths

Does anyone know what software those 3/4 scale 'Arcade1Up' cabinets they're selling in Smyths are running?

The version of Pac Man seems to be set pretty fast and difficult from the start, with the power pill not lasting long at all. And particularly weird is the ghosts, instead of turning blue, seem to turn into some sort of squat vegetable with a stalk growing out of the top.

And the version of Street Fighter II seems to be lacking colours in the sprites; a bit washed-out, like on a conversion that doesn't have the same colour depth. Although the arcade original of World Warrior doesn't look all that great compared to some variants.

I too would be interested in the technology used.

Ah, thanks, so it's an ARM / Android arcade emulator.
Still doesn't explain the odd graphics when the Pac Man ghosts change to hunted. Has anyone ever seen a version where they don't just turn blue?

The cabinet hosts both the original Pac-Man as well as Midway's Pac Man-Plus which has got the weird blue ghosts.

Ah, right, thanks. I know Midway produced it under license for a bit, but I've never seen that difference with the ghosts before. Weird.

Definitely needs Pac Manic Miner Man added as well!!!

They should've stuck Ms. Pac-Man instead of Plus on there, guess they want to do a dedicated cab for that, more money and so on.

Pac Manic Miner Man doesn't sound half bad. :P

EDIT: Just checked out PMMM, that's brilliant! :D
