ZXDB Videos on your TV?

Post by kolbeck »

Would you like to watch all the videos in ZXDB on your big TV in your living room?

Stay tuned then, something new coming to an AppleTV near you in the future - using the Open ZXDB API as backend!

[WIP] - let's take control of our TV again!

Very nice kolbeck

Any chance of a version for Android in the future? I'm thinking it could have Chromecast support. Sorry, but I'm not an Apple fan.

Hi PeterJ - I think an Android version would be better done by Turrican, as I don't do Android :-)

Hi kolbeck !
What is the operation on API that are you using to list the videos?
Anyway we can install ZX App on any Android device (like TV box) and see the videos via YouTube.

I'm using a new endpoint:
https://api.zxinfo.dk/api/zxinfo/games/ ... ?mode=tiny

This returns 10 random entries - all with YouTube links, replace 10 with numbers you want to show

On ZX App on my Android phone, it runs videos in the YouTube app. From the YouTube app I can then cast to my Sony Bravia telly. It should also be able to cast to Chromecast too.

I Daren. I do that too! It's great seeing your favourite games on a 48" screen
