Dario Fo is the most performed Italian playwright worldwide. I bought and read his Manuale minimo dell'attore when I studied (at amateur level) acting many years ago. Quite a fascinating insight into the art of theatrical performing.

As for your suggestions, there is Carlo Bo, scholar, translator and politician, founder of the IULM and a main figure of literary criticism of the 20th century. The State University of Urbino, one of the most prestigious of the country, is named after him.

Hehe, it is a real name and he has even done more Spectrum games, most of them quite similar to this mediocre Neighbours (which, technical-wise is quite acceptable, though!)
