It clearly fits better under "Adventure Game: Text/Illustrated"
By the way you cannot distinguish between these categories in the search engine currently:
Curious... the unnofficial version came first, I didn't know it.Ralf wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 9:17 pm Bomber Bob in Pentagon Capers

is inspired by Bomb Jack (the arcade game). It is actually an earlier game than the official Spectrum conversion of Bomb Jack
Yes, the mention of Blade in Numb Cars seems an error.moroz1999 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 8:57 am https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... el_id=1744
There are two Blades in Russia:
https://zxart.ee/eng/authors/p/plaid - Alexander Rakitin, participated in making of Numb Cars.
https://zxart.ee/eng/authors/b/blade1 - Sergey Sirotenko, made other games
They're in the correct order in terms of their original release - Summer Games is first because it was released on the C64 in 1984 - they were just converted in the wrong order.Juan F. Ramirez wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 11:02 pm Winter Games by US Gold.
According to the database, it belongs to the 'Summergames' series, in position 3, after Summer Games I and II.
The question is the games in a series are placed in chronological order, so Winter Games should be in position 1, as it was released in 1986 whereas Summer Games I and II were released in 1988. World Games and California Games are from 1987 and their order is also wrong.

No need thanks Dru. The .mlt is already there, but the presence of the run.scr takes priority. Are you sure they were not originally co-published by Microprose and US Gold together?StooB wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 6:50 pm Acro Jet
originally published by US Gold, not Microprose
(source: US Gold logo on back of cover, US Gold adverts, reviews saying US Gold)
Silent Service
also originally published by US Gold
(source: mort's scans on the Internet Archive - "manufactured under licence from Microprose by US Gold" and the inside of the inlay which is full of adverts for other US Gold games)
This is for the original releases in the double jewel cases - Microprose later re-released both titles in card boxes.
No, this is before Microprose set up their own UK operations in Tetbury. The US Gold business model was to publish US software in Europe - that's why it was called US Gold.Einar Saukas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 7:27 pm Are you sure they were not originally co-published by Microprose and US Gold together?
Or perhaps published by Microprose first, US Gold later?
OK, thanks for the confirmation!StooB wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 7:58 pmNo, this is before Microprose set up their own UK operations in Tetbury. It's not co-published any more than Bruce Lee was co-published with Datasoft or Winter Games was co-published with Epyx.
Do you know if the original date and price, currently assigned to Microprose in both cases, actually refer to US Gold original release or Microprose re-release?Einar Saukas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:18 pmOK, thanks for the confirmation!StooB wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 7:58 pm No, this is before Microprose set up their own UK operations in Tetbury. I'm making these changes now, they will appear in the next ZXDB update.
Fortunately all the versions were advertised individually:Einar Saukas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 11:01 pm Do you know if the original date and price, currently assigned to Microprose in both cases, actually refer to US Gold original release or Microprose re-release?
