Draculax is a cracking game. I just typed it in as I like typing them in and I own the book. My viewers were really impressed by Mr Mortleman's work as well!
I have a little YouTube channel of nonsense

Awesome. I think I remember these, though in no way I could have had this book in behind the Iron Curtain in the Eighties. Maybe it's a false memory or maybe there was a partial translation in some magazine.
In any case, I might try and type one myself too. Haven't done it in decades.
EDIT: Jeez, I've just had a look at the link and the cover, and I'm now convinced I actually did have this book! What a blast from the past. Wish I could remember how did this happen...there were one or two kids in my area whose parents traveled abroad and brought them outlandish trinkets such as a copy of YS or even an original game. Maybe that's the connection

The cover is the same Susan Rowe illustration as for the Quicksilva release of Velnor's Lair, so it's one that a lot of people will have seen over the years anyway...

Re: Creating Adventure Programs on the ZX Spectrum
Ok, but I'm pretty sure it's the book I had access too (I only saw like 5 original games at the time for ZX and I would remember this one). I did learn to write this kind of simple adventures at some point and I'm now convinced it must've been from that book.
Just wish the book scans were available somewhere too...
