Rite of the Druid has had an update: You can now SAVE and LOAD. I've also added a few more reactions to certain commands people might type.

We expect no less than the responses to at least 100 different swear words followed by a swift arse-kick back to the BASIC prompt!
By the way ... greetings from a fellow PC Engine owner (back in the early 90s). I've seen your stuff and also some of the various mags you've made, but haven't yet had the opportunity to talk to you, so thought I'd add it here. Cheers!

Finished this yesterday and I have to say that it's a great little adventure with a real feeling of magic throughout. Highly recommended.sunteam wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:37 am Rite of the Druid has had an update: You can now SAVE and LOAD. Re: ZX Spectrum Next software
I've got an idea, albeit one that might get shot down harder than a Frenchman at Agincourt.
Why not keep a counter of the number of official Next releases that have been indexed on ZXDB, and compare it to the number of commercial releases for failed consoles (e.g. Nuon, Nokia N-Gage, Game.com) and those that weren't complete catastrophes but still significantly less popular than all the big ones (e.g. Atari Jaguar, Neo-Geo). In other words, "there are now more Spectrum Next titles than (insert console here)", and there must be someone nerdy enough to keep a tally of official releases for consoles that most of us never knew existed.
TV Tropes, on their page for the Spectrum, has this passive-aggressive comment about the Next: "Precisely what problem this is meant to solve is not clear, but it does look extremely cool." Maybe this counter would be a response to TV Tropes, because if the Next served no purpose, there'd be little more than a trickle of software, in much the same way as the Dragon 32 community went berserk at the sight of an all-new game in 2009. One game.
Something else to keep a watch on: when will the Next have more titles available for it than the QL...?

Bit rich, coming from TV Tropes. Pots and kettles and all that.

Why would we even consider to be bothered about what some random wrote on a website?
