On advanced search there is a relatively new option to search for board games. If you select Chess, this game appears in the list. Whilst it has chess in the title, it's certainly not a chess board game.

I suspect £ in this case means lire.

The screen seems to be a photograph of a CRT screen, which perhaps explains the off colours.

I recall this was discussed before, but it would be (more than) useful if the archive could properly distinguish between pounds and lire. The failure to do so here is extremely confusing. I've suggested before using three-letter ISO codes for currencies, eg GBP and ITL. Alternatively £ for pounds sterling and L for Italian lire would be somewhat better than what we have here.

The archive does distinguish properly, it uses a lira symbol ₤ which has two horizontal dashes, it does however not help that it is showing decimals when the lira had none.

That we all need glasses getting older is another matter.

Update: but I see that according to wikipedia this is a made up symbol since there is no official symbol!

Yes, I checked Wikipedia before posting. It seems the one-bar/two-bar distinction was an arbitrary invention of the Unicode system to give different names to the symbols and has never been followed generally. Both symbols have been commonly used for both pounds and lire (for centuries in the case of the former). It is not correct to observe a distinction between them when expressing currencies.
