Okay, it's not my work
Actually it's someone's else work and I just would like more people to hear about that as it went totally unnoticed on WOS. Move that topic if you think that it suits better another forum.
So it seems that a big production is comming soon on Spectrum. The author is Russian programmer with nick Sanchez, known for earlier games like
Survivisection (
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=27982 )
and
Castlevania:Spectral Interlude (
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=30192 )
Now Sanchez is working on beatemup game. It's called
Mighty Final Fight and is a remake of game with the same title released in 90s for NES console. The NES version is in turn a parody of well known arcade Final Fight.
NES version:

and Spectrum version:
Some more info about it
In Russian:

Google Translated:

It look like we are going to get a new, cool megaproduction. Apart from troubles at some website
, it's going to be a good year for Zx Spectrum.

oh-oh this could be the first beat-em-up to be on the same level as the first 2 renegade games?

We can't be sure until it is released but it's serious pretender.

looking great!
NES graphics convert very well, I wonder why so few people tried to convert from those back in the day.

Looks like this is going to be another winner from Sanchez
I am also really happy that he decided to participate in the ZX Dev Conversions, which is coming out outstanding!

If I was to recommend a beat 'em up which works great to play together with a small children, it would be "Streets of Rage 2”

It looks very slick! I think there is some magic going on to get the movement that smooth

Violence!
This really is quite special. Are the 'tap-tap-action' special moves a first for the Speccy? I think they might be.

This is an awesome game! Good work!!!
It seems the only drawback is the awkward translation. Could you please ask the author to revise it? Here are a few suggestions for improvements:
LIVES THE DAUGHTER OF THE MAYOR -> LIVES THE MAYOR DAUGHTER
GIVES THE CITIZENS -> GIVES CITIZENS
ALL TO HIMSELF -> ALL FOR HIMSELF
LET'S TRAINING! -> LET'S TRAIN!
PRESS FIRE FOR CONTINUE -> PRESS FIRE TO CONTINUE
PRESS AND HOLD "FIRE" FOR BEAT ENEMY -> PRESS AND HOLD "FIRE" TO BEAT ENEMY
FOR FINISH-JUMP-KICK PRESS AND HOLD "FIRE"+"UP" -> TO FINISH-JUMP-KICK, PRESS AND HOLD "FIRE"+"UP"
FOR JUMP-SIDE-KICK PRESS "FIRE"+"UP"+"RIGHT" -> TO JUMP-SIDE-KICK, PRESS "FIRE"+"UP"+"RIGHT"
FOR GRAB THE ENEMY JUST GO TO HIM -> TO GRAB THE ENEMY, JUST GO TO HIM
FOR BEAT GRABBED ENEMY PRESS "FIRE" -> TO BEAT GRABBED ENEMY, PRESS "FIRE"
FOR THROW ENEMY HOLD "FIRE" AND PRESS "LEFT" -> TO THROW ENEMY, HOLD "FIRE" AND PRESS "LEFT"
FOR THROW WEAPON PRESS "RIGHT"-"RIGHT"-"FIRE" -> TO THROW WEAPON, PRESS "RIGHT"-"RIGHT"-"FIRE"

^^^ I don't think Sanchez reads Einar's suggestions to fix these translation issues. Someone should post them on the zxdev forum or even better contact him through PM. While you are at it, you may want to ask him for the Castlevania source code which seems to be somewhere on the russian forum.

Huge apologies.
I tried to quote Einar's post above on translations, but in a fat finger moment in fact edited it instead, without realising. I'm really sorry.
I don't know how to correct this. I presume the original post is lost.

I wish I thought of doing this in the 'vote for Chuckie Egg thread!
I'm on mobile so the admin panel is even less clear, I think it's probably gone, if it's possible I might be able to restore it tomorrow.
If it helps I think the gist of it was 'great game and I love the intentional Japanese arcade style misphrasings'.
If we have to we can team up & rephrase on Einar's behalf tomorrow.

Einar was able to provide a copy of his original post, so I have been able to undo my accidental edit and restore his text.
Thanks to Einar for his help and understanding.

No problem!
BTW as Rorthron pointed out, it should be:
LIVES THE DAUGHTER OF THE MAYOR -> LIVES THE MAYOR'S DAUGHTER

And now you can watch my recording of Mighty Final Fight at Rzx Archive:
http://www.rzxarchive.co.uk/m.php#mightyff
and Youtube video:

https://youtu.be/DCMdxXL0yQM[/youtube]
I didn't try to make it perfect. For 95% of time I played honestly which means I not only beat bad guys but am beaten too
There is a gameplay for all 3 characters. It's quite different to play each of them. They also have different endings.
To my suprise the crappiest character for me to play turned out Haggar, the big guy with a moustache. He makes big damage and has big energy but he is also slow with his attacks and before he hits an enemy, enemy hits him first quite often.
But try it out yourself of course!
The game is worth it.

This game was recently updated with a better English translation. The new version 1.1 is now available here:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=32221
Many thanks to SaNchez for accepting these suggestions, and for kindly giving permission for all free websites to distribute his games! It means Castlevania will also become available at Spectrum Computing in the next ZXDB update.
