On The Run
Darkstar
Invaders (always a sucker for a neat space invaders, this one was decent)
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...
Massive amount of love for Return of the Things. I never knew what I want doing but loved the battles (redefine keys to perform multiple actions), eating scenery and looking for collectibles. Zones had their own colour and feel and wasn’t there a tower?
I got my hands on a copy when I bought a Speccy a few years ago but it won’t load.
Even more tragically, I had my original copy with my Speccy, safely stored at my parents until my brother returned home and sold the lot.
I've voted for On The Run as it's the only game on the list that I've actually played. I do recall quite liking the game and remember is being on a tape that my dad got from someone he worked with. The other game on the tape was The Covenant which seemed pretty similar to On The Run.
It's got to be Invasion of the Body Snatchas for me... once again I cast a solitary vote for a game.
It is stupidly difficult, but I'm still amazed the Speccy could handle an arcade game as demanding as defender so well. Plus the high score table was entertaining.
Not keen on most of them so gave it to On The Run as the most playable.
Some technically good programming for the vector and isometric games, but they don't float my boat.
So isee a bit of love for On The Run. Honestly i thought i'd be alone on that one...
Validated

It was between that and the vector games for me, and I didn't really get on with the vector games.
Technically the vectors and isometric games are fine, but I played On The Run more often.
On The Run has the look and feel of a classic Ultimate game. It's like they've mashed ideas from Sabre Wulf, Underwurlde and Jetpac together and ended up with something that works well.
I didn't vote for it, but I certainty wouldn't begrudge it winning. The only game they released on the label that I really didn't like was 2112AD.
Cripes! We have two good games sitting jointly in the top spot. Dark Star and On The Run have 7 votes each. Will we need a tie-break poll or will the proportional results show a clear winner? Well, let's get the other votes counted...
Second place is jointly held with Forbidden Planet and Return Of The Things having 3 votes each.
Third place jointly goes to Halls Of The Things Remix and Invasion Of The Body Snatchas (1991 version), 2 votes each.
N.E.X.O.R. has 1 vote, placing it fourth.
Now, the proportional results do indeed show the overall winner is On The Run!..
On The Run 12
Return Of The Things 9
Dark Star 7
Halls Of The Things Remix 6
N.E.X.O.R. 5
Forbidden Planet 2
Invaders 1
