Would it be possible to have more than one category/genre for each title? I've seen a few RPG games using a text interface classified as text adventures, maybe better to have the two categories.

This was discussed before:

In a nutshell:
Current genres in ZXDB were planned as a hierarchical classification of mutually exclusive categories. If we want to classify a certain game in multiple categories, it would be better to design a new classification system based on simpler overlapping categories. In this new system, each game could be classified as a combination of characteristics, for instance action+strategy+adventure.
It wouldn't be practical to modify current genres system. Who would reclassify tens of thousands of entries? However ZXDB is flexible enough that it can support a second classification system, without sacrificing anything. We just need volunteers to propose the new categories, then start to classify current tihles using them.

Also... although ZXDB stores a single genre type for each game, it also has additional tags to indicate side-view or top-view, realtime or turn-based, cooperative multiplayer or versus, etc.
For instance searching for arcade adventure games with a side-view tag will return games like Dizzy.
