It was a very entertaining day. I've (finally) crossed paths with Malcolm Evans, Jonathan Cauldwell and Andy Johns, had my hands on a real Toastrack (playing
@R-Tape's Chrimblast!) and QL (and put an example program on the screen just to show off), bought a couple more new(ish) games for the ZX81, completely failed to find a new drive belt for the +3 (because what I have is probably knackered), promoted
@Joefish as a programming god to those who didn't realise the sheer scale of the achievement of Gnash-Man Party, been prevented from participating in a quiz for being a smartphone-less Luddite, watched a preview of a film whose Kickstarter I was too broke (at the time) to back, and I have reading material in the form of an Issue 1 Next manual - so I'd better get CSpect fired up.
Also, Walsall FC's match went their way - eventually - and as their fans were only too happy to inform the travelling Carlisle fans in the opposite corner when the equaliser was scored just before Fergie time and the winner well within it,
you're not singing any more. That'll have been a miserable trek back up the M6. The security guard at the Stadium Suite says he wants Manchester City away in the next round, to keep the club's bank account healthy - which in turn means the Stadium Suite and whatever they call the other conference room can also be maintained, and events like this can keep on happening in the West Midlands.
