House out of Town

Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

This one is the same as the Squirrel's Nuts release...

Presumably there may be one version out there that at least fixes the spelling on the into page! :)

That's one of Tony (Anthony) Collins', I think.

Are you sure? Having looked through his games just now, I can't see any reference to it, and not sure the style matches.

Tony was the proprietor of The Guild; which originally published the Spectrum versions of many of Simon Avery's games. (Philip Reynolds, who later republished the games under his The Adventure Workshop, did many of the conversions for Tony, though)

From what I remember from back in the day, ANT is Tony crediting his images. Although I could be mistaken.

E.g. see...

Quite a few of Tony's games have graphics, such as Methyhel with graphics by Tony and (I think, his brother) Peter...

There may have also been some digitising going on with some of The Guild loading screens, too.

Wow that is pretty conclusive! :D I didn't even see the word "Ant" written at the side! Sorry to have doubted you!

It may be someone else that Tony knew called ANT, but I can't recall anyone from back in the day. (Tony and I were in the early stages of working on a game together at one point).

They fixed it in the cassette inlay :)

I've seen worse - one of Scott Adams' has a typo in the title line:

Code: Select all
