Expanded a bit. There is another Tripod terror game on the Spectrum other than War Of The Worlds and The Tripods. WotW ist listed as an inspiration on the game details page, but isn't available in the search list on the home screen.
Am I really the only one with a liking for sub-Viking Raiders basic wargames? @WhatHoSnorkers ?
I just read "Zeitgame.net" playthrough of this!
I have the book of Spectrum wargames and need to do more with it. I streamed the Battle of Hasting and after nearly 2 hours no-one had died (because I'd missed a line of code, I think).

It is Red Weed. Well done. An odd game that you outnumber the attackers, a bit like the boardgame Ogre.
And yet, still they come.

Oh wow, it has just had a write on the zeitgame blog. It even noted the similarity to Ogre. What are the chances?

The chances of anyone getting it right were a
million to one ... but still the answer comes.

I thought it might be 'Backpackers Guide...' but a quick look for a video proved me wrong.

Three full days later & no correct guesses, it would appear not. Time for a bigger screenshot perhaps?

Well, ... I think it's time to some clues.
It's clearly a lamp. From the perspective, it's from a room in 3D view with yellow roof.
