Looking forward to chipping in with Bizzel's competition. Rest assured, my entries will not involve weird fringe computers like the Cambridge Z88 (though you'd probably like that you big perv).
But that would mean I'd need to get my z88 off the shelf!

I might write the reviews on my z88, just to be a weirdo. Douglas Adams apparently wrote a novel on one.

After seeing how hard it was to emulate the z88, I do feel a bit bad about that, and also a bit scared.

This is definitely a spectrum comp. Next is fine, as I have a real life N-GO :)

Congrats ZXkewl. Hearty commiserations to @Jbizzel, I’m sure you’ll make for another excellent host—the new site is looking good and already adorned with judicious typos and philosophising about the fundamental nature of crap! Bravo 👏

I’ll definitely get something submitted although I’m not yet sure what. Nothing with FIFO invocations or shell scripts that’s for sure, but Jim’s foray into SAM BASIC has inspired me (so maybe keep SimCoupé handy!) or maybe something with its elder sibling Beta BASIC to keep it Spectrum related (and which will be fine in Fuse ;) )

As ever actual gameplay decisions will be made later (if at all) so don’t worry about that!

And of course big cheers to @uglifruit. :D :D

Well desperately seeking Susan is on TV right now.

Now I see where @TMD2003 gets his inspiration from.

Madonna wearing this in the film, obviously had a powerful impact on a young Jim...

Or as the French say, "la muse de merde"

Never seen that film in my life. But I have been to 'MURICA and spent a few of these:

Thanks for another fine year of crapness. Is there anywhere that all the entries can be downloaded in a single zip file, for convenience?

That's a good idea. I'll post back her when that is done.
Not that I'd suggest playing them all!

It would make sense to do so, but it was so little used that I'm hardly surprised it was never done. I had designs on making a networked RZX of Overlords with Daren as the other player, if it was ever possible, but fate intervened on that one...
Spectrusty does via UDP and that was one of the reasons I took a look at it a while back

I've had two instances of the emulator stood up binding and connecting to the PC loopback interface and the act of transmitting and receiving sort of works

Receiving machine:

BUT there seems to have been a problem during reception, indicated by the question marks

The third (and subsequent packets) don't seem to have been received - not sure if this is specific to my hardware or something else?

Anyway, a packet capture is here if anyone's interested

It's not a big loss but I had to report it :)

Thanks. I see I missed a few more towards the end of the year. Andy's great site drove my antimalware crazy so I couldn't get the files and read the reviews in my usual place. I'll add them this week.

So you've been having a few words with @merman, then? I'd better get myself a copy of this one!

WHSmith in March had it when I was in there a year ago...

My local Smiths had a few copies today when I went in. I think the next issue to replace it might be due in soon (normally it's early on in the month). If you want a copy and can't find one, I can pop in and pick one up for you, just let me know.

The site says with 9.90euro the printed issue is delivered to Greece! It seems a decent price.
I can show the printed copy to my wife and kid and tell them that there is an article about me in a British magazine with international sales!

Anyway,I would expect a more extended article :)

I've send a mail to the author a few months ago that zxplay.org changed to zxcoder.org but did not correct it...
Do you know the article author blog page? He said he would publish a more extended article about CSSCGC in his blog.

Apologies, by the time you emailed me I did not have the chance to contact the editor.

I am running behind with updated my homebrew extra blog, but will post here when the article is online.

Dammit. I just popped to the big Sainsbury's for a copy but they didn't have it, so I ended up buying food I didn't particularly want or need. Your fault merman!

Hope I can get to Smiths after work tomorrow.
