Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them
Hi there! Or should I say Hallo Leute
We have managed to preserved LOTS of german tapes containing a lot of programs like type-ins, homebrew, MIAs and the likes
However, I am not very familiar with the early 80s german Spectrum games/magazines/programs, so it would be great if you German guys could help us out by providing some info on the files preserved
Here is the link where (some of them) have been published:
https://trastero.speccy.org/2023/IVAN/C ... 01a08B.htm
We can use this thread to post the info on these programs/games, so we can between all classify them.
Danke!!

Re: Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them
Thanks, Einar!
Yes, some of them are already in the archive, but for example Boxe is MIA, so it could be uploaded already
I have to also load some of the others, as I think that by loading them we can find some authors that are not yet mentioned

Re: Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them
Maybe @Luzie and @XTM can help us out
Re: Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them
Another 20 programs are now available, and this time, these are more difficult to classify as they are more obscure and small programs (some of them Homebrew from the early 80s):

Strassenfarher is Cars:

As for Dame, I'm almost sure it's a type-in, because I have the same game in a family made cassette (the same where I found Cars):

So Dame must come from a British type-in, also published in a German magazine, it is my guess

This program is mentioned within a thesis about computer gaming. (Google: homecomputer "gw software" uni-ak.ac.at)
According to it it was a type-in from Homecomputer 4/1984 pp 15-18 (Roeske Verlag).
Biorythmus Tendenz is from the same author. I looked into both listings but found no further information about GW Software.

Thanks for helping out and for the info, @sn3j ! It also seems that another type-in for the Spectrum was published in that issue of the magazine, called "Superfile", which is, also in the recovered files: https://trastero.speccy.org/2023/IVAN/C ... 10a14B.htm
By the way, the game of the cover of the magazine totally looks like F-Zero... 5 years before!

And Superhirn is a type-in from Homecomputer 11/1983, author Christian Boehm.Ivanzx wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 7:13 am Thanks for helping out and for the info, @sn3j ! The author and more details of Superfile can be found inside the mentioned thesis from uni-ak.ac.at.
Kreisstatistik is probably a type-in from Homecomputer 8/1983 p 50.
I've read it's Sega Turbo.

By the way I looked up Kreisstatistik, it's indeed from Homecomputer 8/1983 p 50.

From this list, we already have ASM (Aktueller Software Markt), Happy Computer, and HC Mein Heim-Computer:sn3j wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 8:04 pm All Homecomputer mags are available online here, as well as other German computer magazines:

Is there any other magazine with any Sinclair related content? All others seem to cover C64 or Amiga exclusively.
You also mentioned Homecomputer that I don't see it in that page. Where did you find it?
Re: Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them
Ups sorry. I got it from here: https://www.kultmags.com/mags.phpEinar Saukas wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 7:58 pm You also mentioned Homecomputer that I don't see it in that page. Where did you find it?
It's somewhere down in the list. The direct link is likely to break because of the hash id.
I don't know. The list at Kultmags could be a start to check for missing links, though.Einar Saukas wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 7:58 pm Is there any other magazine with any Sinclair related content? All others seem to cover C64 or Amiga exclusively.
