Upgrading a DivIDE 57c

Post by Bubu »

¡Jarl, torpedos!

Hi, all!

I've got a Zx DivIDE 57c as this one:

and it's has the FatWare BIOS, but i'd like to upgrade it to the last version of ESXDOS, as it has better interface, paging, fonts, an so. Is it possible to upgrade this DivIDE? How could I "burn" the ESXDOS BIOS into the DivIDE?

Thanx!!
If something works, don't touch it !!!! at all !!!

Lots of information on the site DivIDE here.

Also check the ESXDOS site here.

If you have EEPROM or flash ROM chip, then you just need the appropriate program running on the Spectrum to “burn” (program) the new code in it.

I can’t remember the details, but hopefully one of the two websites above may help.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :dance
Looking forward to summer later in the year.

Take a look here:

You must follow the instructions on ESXDos page to prepare your card then burn the EPROM as link above.
