Guess the screen$
Re: Guess the screen$
Slap Fight?
Re: Guess the screen$
Not Slap Fight.
It is a game from 87 or 88, depending on what listing you trust.
(Possibly 87 - re-released as budget in 88)

Alien Syndrome?

Not Alien Syndrome.
It's a game that was a bit pants, and got suitably bad reviews.

A curiosity:
Lazer means "one who lazes".
It has nothing to do with the LASER ray.

Btw it was an 80s toy kit. It's still selling under this brand.Einar Saukas wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 10:58 am A curiosity:

I'll go on if that's ok, @p13z.
What's your thoughts about this:
I'm afk till later - happy guessing.

Re: Guess the screen$
I think they were trying to make it look all futuristic by changing the S to a Z. A bit like those shops or trades people in the 90's that would bung "2000" onto the end of their company name. Looks laughable nowadays.

Reminds me if this from SU's preview of Laser Squad which has always stuck in my head:-Einar Saukas wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 10:58 am A curiosity:

We just had Mrs Mopp on the Spectrum 2.0 Reviews game...
Is it Mrs Mopp and the threads have (maybe not so accidentally) coincided?

not Mrs Mopp.
It's from '87, released in '88, and like Lazer Tag named after a brand that was well known outside the Speccy community.
I'll post a larger screen tomorrow.

Re: Guess the screen$
I love scoffing a whole packet of Pink Panther wafers.... but not the game.
Re: Guess the screen$
From the Your Sinclair review:
It has to be said that the graphics are quite good in this game. [...]
But unfortunately, despite the nice graphics and original design, the whole thing just fails to come together. The way the sleepwalker responds to your attempts to control him seems a little erratic, and the system of choosing objects is far too slow to use at awkward moments.
So, in a wrapping-it-all-up-nicely sort of way, I'm sorry to report that this one seems to be a bit of a wasted licence. A shame, really, considering the thought that must have gone in to it. Give it a miss and you'll be tickled pi... (Snip! Ed).
